Chihuahua Allergies

I picked Susan up last night and noticed that her right upper eyelid, left lower eyelid and her snout were swollen. She was obviously having an allergic reaction to something. So, we took her to the St. Francis Animal Hospital. She ended up having to get a steroid shot, and a shot of Benedryl. It cost us nearly $100. GEEZ. But she is all fine now. We never figured out what the reaction was to, but the vet ruled out food allergies. Poor baby.

The Real Reason I Was Fired

I had a sneaking suspicion that the reason I was fired was to re-hire the person I had replaced. This made sense because his mom was the office manager (for 18 years), and his wife was the scheduler (for 2 years), and he had worked there for 10. I kinda let the thought slip from my mind thinking it was too messed up to be the truth. But then it occurred to me, if they let me go then WHO would be doing all the work? So, I called and guess who answered? The person I had replaced. This only confirmed what I had suspected. I wasn't fired due to lack of patient flow or low hours, I was fired because the person I had replaced didn't like his new job and wanted to come back. So they fired me, and rehired him. Now I know who's hiring though. And I applied for that job that he left.

Quarter-Life Crisis

As you may know, I got a great job. Well, it lasted long enough to one paycheck. Dr. B let me go due to extreme lack of patient flow. Apparently eye health is a luxury during this economic crisis. So, here I am back in the job search mode. I hate it, and I really loved the job I had. Apparently the ONLY field that I am trained in isn't doing well at the moment, so I might have to venture elsewhere and find something different, so I applying for all sorts of jobs. This is not the way things were supposed to be. Bills are not in good standing right now, although I won't go into that. Just know that I owe money. I've decided to look at the glass as half full. I think this attitude will exude confidence when I'm looking for a new job. I've decided that maybe this job loss was a blessing in disguise. I wasn't making enough to sustain my life. SO maybe this happened so that I could obtain a job that could. We will see what happens. Thanks to everyone for all the support.

Jetskiing 53ยบ Degree Water

So, Monday we woke up and saw the sun. We packed up the jetski and headed to Silver Lake. By the time we got there it looked pretty gloomy, but we decided to set the jetski in the water and take a trip thinking it wasn't that bad. We hopped on, it took a minute to start (I would to), then we took off. With the combination of wind, cold water, clouds, and very little clothing we decided a 15 minute trip around the lake was enough. We packed the jetski up and decided to head back home. But not before Davorin got some horrible pictures of me on the jetski (wearing his clothes).

Susan's New Wardrobe

We went into Petco to get pee pads yesterday to realize it was no longer the cheapest price we could find, but they did have really awesome PFD's for dogs, and a "Buy 1 Get 3 Free" deal on doggy clothes. So here is what Susan got at Petco!!
As you can see, she's not a huge fan of it, as it fits snuggly (as it should). She gets really tired really fast when playing in the water, so we got her this PFD! There will be plenty of lake trips this summer, so it'll get plenty of use. What a lucky girl, I still haven't gotten the one I want.
This coat was Davorin's idea. This is her "pimp coat". LOL.
I really love this coat, it's really sort of a cape, but I loved the colors and the trim. She's very comfortable in it.
This is just a grey and purple version of a burgundy and pink sweater she currently has, but I love it. It's just too cute. Every girl needs a fashionable yet comfortable sweater!!

Did you do the math and wonder where the fourth outfit went? It didn't fit her.

Animated Basketball Star

So, I was bored and had taken some action shots of Davorin shooting hoops at the park, so I decided to turn it into a GIF animation. Good times!!

Crocs

Okay, so I don't think that I have the worldest best style. But I do think that I dress nicely and am somewhat up-to-date on trends. I will never be able to accept some trends. One recent one is CROCS. They are fucking ugly. I'm sorry, it's the truth. What the hell is wrong with people?? You think this shit is cute? Uggs used to be #1 on my list of ugliest shoes in the world, now crocs are. FUGLY! This cat agrees!!

Wally World

I just went to Walmart and walked out with two outfits for work and milk and cereal for less than $20!! Freaking awesome!!!

NEW job!!

After 6 weeks of searching, stupid job offers, rejections, and far too many false hopes; I found the perfect job. I'm an Optician again, of course. But it's a private practice, I'm the main Optician, there is a part-timer that does the pretesting and other various office tasks, the doctor, and the office manager. The pay is a tad lower than what I am used to, but there is TAH-DAH health insurance!!! It's such a relaxed, happy, friendly environment. The doctor is funny, he's always in the exam room making patients laugh. It's such a refreshing office environment. I love it. Feel free to congratulate me!!

Tequila Bottle Floral Project

I really liked the shape of this Tequila bottle, so I kept it for a while until I came up with a really awesome project. I couldn't, so I filled it with potpourri, stuck two dried roses in it, and tied a ribbon around it. I kinda like this though.

----->
I forgot to take a picture before removing all the stickers and stuff, so I just snagged a picture from the internet. I guess this would be the before picture.

Not too awfully creative, but I like the way it turned out.

SEE DAVORIN--I save random stuff for a reason!!

Rhody Days

Davorin and I went to Florence for Rhody days today. It was pretty fun. We visited my family, rode rides, ate junk food, and then went home. Here are some pictures from the day.

Davorin trying to win a prize. Micheal Jordan wouldn't have been able to win one of those stuffed animals. The guy even told us that it was "fixed", not in so many words; of course. He said the hoop was oval and the ball was weighted. And oh yeah, if you hit the stuffed animals above and make the shot, it doesn't count. Then my sister and I starting booing him and yelling, "You suck!" He bragged about having cheer leaders. Loser.

Our favorite ride was The Star Trooper. We only went twice, but it was fun. Davorin loved it, which surprised me since he's afraid of heights.

We went into the "Mardi Gras House".

They had funny mirrors.

AND slides!!!

Gary, Gina, Ashley & Bryan were a little more daring than Davorin and me.

But the Carousel was a BLAST!!!!!

Time to rest!!

Thanks for looking, hope you too had a great weekend!

~♥~ Plastic bottles (Various sizes and colors)
~♥~ Glass bottles (Various sizes and shapes)
~♥~ Pieces of felt (I know, they are like $0.29 each!! Great gift for Cherish!!)
~♥~ Yarn! (Another thing that I can never have too many of!!)

Me love you long time!!

Disappearing Filing Cabinet

This is kinda stupid, but I was amazed. Davorin wanted to get this old filing cabinet out of his room, so he told me to post it in the free section on Craig's List for him. I made a posting, made it look nice with HTML and everything. Posted a picture. Gave the address of where it would be sitting. I set it outside with a free sign on it. We left about 45 minutes after I posted it and we set the thing outside, and it's GONE! It took 45 minutes for me to post an ad, someone to read it, want it, drive here, load it up, and leave. Fricking amazing. I once sold a truck on CL in about two hours, on the flip side, it once took me almost two weeks to sell a car there. I am now trying to sell a very nice furniture set on CL. I posted around 7PM yesterday. Let's see how that one goes. Wish me luck, ya'll. Craig's List is a wonderful thing!!

Night @ Home

Davorin and I are staying in tonight and eating munchies and watching cutesy movies. He bought me Creme Filled Pirouette Rolled Wafers. I've never had them before, and I gotta say: YUM!

We are watching The Chronicles of Narnia and The Golden Compass!! It's going to be a nice change of pace from horror movies and action flicks.

First Attempt at a Scarf-let

This was my first attempt at making a scarflet. I think it went well. I added some ivory colored buttons for contrast.

This is the best up close picture of the buttons that I could get. It's as warm as any scarf I've worn and I like how the cluster of buttons turned out.

All of my handmade treasures are for sale. Just ask and we'll negotiate a price.

Boring Day

I had an interview this morning for Fred Meyer corporate office. It would be a great job, and it would be a job PERIOD! So, everyone cross all your phalanges and wish me luck!

My love and I went jetskiing on Monday, and my shoulders are still burnt from the sun. It was pretty bad, I think, though, that it is right before the stage of peeling. So I don't think there will be any peeling (phew!). And it doesn't hurt until there is some pressure applied. But, man, jetskiing was FUN!

Hopefully soon there will be some photos of some finished projects. I currently have one finished, and two almost finished.

Liquidation Sale

Davorin and I went to the fairgrounds today for this super-huge-awesometastic liquidation sale. It was advertised on the radio and tv as this great sale. I was so excited. I was hoping to see tons of designer purses for 80% off and cheap perfumes, and all that. We get there. GLORFIED FLEA MARKET. There were tables of fake jewelry. Their stereo equipment was retardly over-priced. If you want to save time, $5 for parking and $7 entrance fee per person, listen to me. Don't visit the "liquidation sale" at the Vancouver Fairgrounds. YUCK! Fortunately we didn't walk away with nothing. Davorin got two pair of nice pants for $15! So, I got bored, took pictures of us being tards in the car. Here is that:

♥Pictures of me from this angle usually look far worse♥

♥I love this man with all my heart ♥

♥He wins the "who's tongue is longer" contest♥

♥KISSY KISSY♥
